SOVIET AND CRISIS.
STABLE BRITAIN NEEDED. LONDON, December 9. The "Daily Telegraph" Moscow correspondent says that the Soviet official newspaper "Izvestia" treats the British crisis with seriousness and even respect. The presence of the Soviet representatives at King George's funeral undoubtedly has had a marked influence upon official circles here. Queerly as it contrasts with Moscow propaganda, the Soviet dictatorship under Stalin seems inclined to believe that the strong unity of the- British Empire is at least a temporary necessity if the civilisation of bourgeois and Bolshevist alike is to be saved.
