GALILEE SPRINTS NICELY. QUADROON AND SWEET ROSE. (By Telegraph.—■ Special to "Star.") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The final gallops for the Waipa meetinj were carried out on tile course proper 011 which the flags were 36ft out. Tlr going was in excellent order. The innei plough was also available for galloping ■ but was not in much demand. Course Proper. Torch (McGrath) and Ngakaru (Nay lor were together at the end of live furlong; ' in 1.5 2-5. Torch gave liis companion ; • start. Both worked pleasingly, bu Ngakaru impressed most. Quadrooi (Naylor) bad an advantage over Lad) Yoyomie (Murtagh) at the conclusion o five furlongs in 1.6. After going fairli fast over the first three furlongs, wliiel took 3!) 3-ss, they were easing up at tin I end. Quadroon has worked on well since last racing, and is in excellent condition Jonathan (McGrath) ran the last mile o his mile and half a furlong in 1.45. Hi had the assistance of Namakia (Naylor , over the last six furlongs, and they wen together at the finish. Glenation (Mur tagh) came home from the half-mile pej in 545. lie was doing his work easily Gay Seton (McGrath) and Gay Sistei (Naylor) were on terms at the conclusioi: of five furlongs, which occupied 1.5 4-5 Girl Pat, with Rulette as a companion was allotted ' five furlongs, and they finished together in 1.8. Orate was senl six furlongs, and occupied 1.22. Galilee over five furlongs, was timed to take 1.4, Lady Diana and Clooneen, over a similai journey, taking 1.5%. Clooneen had a gooc advantage at the beginning, and was aheac at the end. Superior Guard was also sent five furlongs, which occupied 1.4 3-5 Sweet Rose coming home in 1.4 2-5. Princc Rangi had the advantage over Hutana at the end of five furlongs in 1.5 3-5. Son ol the Soil and Barricade were associated over three furlongs, but were not timed, Valpai, Loombination and Sergia were in that order at the end of seven "furlongs. Besiege pleased while working over half a mile in 51 l-ss. Tualieahe was the only one to gallop on the plough. He ran half a mile in 50 1 -ss, Delrain (Mcßae) was schooled over three fences, but did not have much pacc on, and did not impress.
