Oil the stock markets tjjere was little business and transactions m some speculative sections have been reduced by 50 per cent.. Even investment sections nave seriously contracted and business is not expected to improve until the crisis has ended. - , Cotton manufacturers, in spite of having £1,000,000 worth of Coronation orders at 6take, are calmly awaiting the outcome. \t present there is no large cancellation of orders, but work has been suspended on flags and btinting containing the King's portrait.
