A BETTER MARKET. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND WEAK'. COLES' SHARES EASIER. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange showed some improvement over the last 24 hours. At this morning's call in the banking .section Xew Zealands were weak, with sellers at £2 2/ and no buyers. Xew South Wales were again on offer at £34 10/, and a buyer came in at £33 15/. Buyers for. Nationals moved up to £3 3/3, with sellers at £3 4/6. In insurances Nationals sold unchanged :at IS/, and South British were $1 demand ,at the last sale price, £4 11/. Xew Zealand Breweries were quoted ex

(dividend, with upmarket between £2 12/6 and £2 13/6. Dominions were again with<out buyers. Amongst Australian issues G. J. Coles clipped from the recent peak levels and ;sold 9d down, at £4 10/3, after which quotations were from £4 9/9 to £4 10/6. Mount Lyells firmed up again and sold 6d higher, at £1 16/9, and a later market from £1 16/6 to £'1 17/. Mount Morgans improved slighthy with business at 15/SVS and buyers still in at 15/4. Selfridges had a good market, and the new share issue sold 6d up, at £1 17/6. Government stocks continued dull, and a parcel of the '30-'43's was placed at £101 10/, a drop of 10/. Quiet at Noon. Business slowed down" during, the morning, and only two sales were recorded at the noon call. Bidding was fairly steady, with few special features. In the banking section buyers for Australasias moved up to £12 2/6, while sellers dropped their reserves for Xew South Wales to £34 5/ and for Unions to £10 7/6. Buyers for South British dropped back to £4 10/10. Dalgety's were asked for. with a buyer up to £10 6/.
