BAPTIST WOMEN.

AN AFTERNOON MEETING. The final meeting was held this week in the Shaeklcton Koad Baptist Church, when there was a very fair attendance. A Christinas spirit pervaded the meeting, which was enjoyed by all. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion with bells and paper festoons. Afternoon tea was served in the primary room, which was decorated with flowers. Airs. Duncnmb, president, was in the chair, and after the devotional exercises welcomed the guests. The roll call was "A Christinas Wish or Greeting," and was heartily responded to by all. Airs. Alartill sang two solos, and Airs. Cannell recited "Which Shall It BeV" Mesdames Alills and Kamsay gave helpful thoughts for the month. Airs. JU Honeycomuu presented special gifts to Alesdames Duncnmb, Dowthwaite and Thomas, referring to the work of the past year. A feature of the afternoon was the "gift caskets," carried by little Aliss Betty Dowthwaite, who presented each one present with a gift, she in turn being presented with a special one for herself. Parcel games were won by Alesdamos Dowthwaite and Cannell. The secret ballot as to whether tlio meeting should be carried on next year revealed a very large majority for the continuation.
