WANGANUI, this day.

With a return to wintry conditions, electric and gas heaters were brought into requisition to-day. Wood and coal dealers also found themselves receiving orders for fuel from unexpected cus-

tomers. A number of farmers -"'he had recently shorn sheep in exposed potions experienced a busy time getting them to shelter. As, most farms are well provided in this respect it is not anticipated that there will be many losses.
