ORAKEI CLUB. CLOSING DAY EVENTS. PRESENTATION OF TRIZES. \ \ The closing day of the Orakei Golf Club was marred by poor weather conditions, but about SO members and friends were present. Mixed Canadian foursomes were won by A. A. Babbage and Mrs. Babbage, with a card of 53—15—38. Other good cards were:-—B. Sticlibury and Miss Marshall, 50—13—41 ; Marshall White and Mrs. Marshall White, (il —IT—44; A. White and Miss Appleyard, 02—17—45.
Prizes won during the season were presented by the presilient, Mr. A. B. Bevege, the principal winners being as follows:— Senior championship, W. H. Chappell; runner-up, A. L,. Graham; intermediate championship, M. Ij. Gray ; runner-up, E. G. Nicholls; junior championship, A. A. Babbage; runner-up, A. Adams; Walker Cup, If. B. Busby ; Young Cup, E. Walker; Caiufosa Cup, .1. Chadwick ; captain's prize, J. Chad wick; Waitemata Cup, D. K. Duncan; C'alame Cup, i!. S. Sticlibury and A. G. BlckerstaiT; president's cup, T. Greep ; consolation cup, B. S. Sticlibury.
Ladies' prizes were presented by the vicepresident, Mrs. 10. Ld. Goldwater, the principal winners being as follows: — championship. Miss B. Tullock ; runner-up, Mrs. Marshall White; junior championship, Mrs Babbage ; runner-up, Mrs. G. Impey; president's cup, Mrs. A. B. Uossitter ; Hardman Cup. Mrs. Babbage; runner-up, Miss Appleyard ; captain's prize, Miss B. Tuiloch; vice-president's prize. Mrs. Babbage; Mrs. Long's tripliy, Mrs. T. 11. A\ooil; Mr»s. Kouson's frophv, Miss Marshall and Mrs. Miller; Mr. Hard mail's C grade trfiphy, Mrs. Itnbunc; Mrs. Kossiter's trophy, Mrs. Murray; senior eclectic competition, Mrs. Wood ; Iy.G.U. bronze medal, Mrs. Wood; junior eclectic, Miss Clark. \ handbag was presented by lady members to -Miss Tuiloch in appreciation of her work as lady secretary during the past year.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The first round of the Summer Cup, the best three out of five meilal rounds, will be nlayed next Saturday by members of the North Shore Golf Club, players to choose partners and opponents.
taranaki champion. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday.F K. Qtiin (New Plymouth) won the Taranaki golf champion of cl V l 'Vl!!wttn SO player required live at the last hole to tie but took seven, taking live strokes from 20 yards from the green.
