WAITEMATA POWER BOARD

GROSS SALES OF CURRENT. Reporting to this afternoon's meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board, the manager, Mr. A. Main, said the gross sales of current for October amounted to £0843, an increase of £851 as compared with the sales for the corresponding period last year. The figure for the seven months ended . October 31 was £00,742, an increase of £7321. Discount allowed to consumers for the seven months totalled £17,105, compared with £14,087 for the same period last year. During the month 73 new consumers had been gained, making a total of 11,593. Reporting on engineering works, Mr. Main said the 11.000-volt extension along the Ararimu Valley, comprising three miles of line, had been completed, and supply made available to consumers.An 11,000-volt extension of about a .mile had been completed on Atkinson Road, Titirangi. The erection of the extension to Jenken's Bay, Laingliolm, was now in progress.
