Big Purchases of British Stud Sheep Made. INQUIRIES TOR MERINOS. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 13. The Australian Associated Press learns that Russian agents have approached Australian quarters in London on the subject of purchasing Merinos for the purpose of crossbreeding. The Soviet's determination to strengthen its flocks is demonstrated in heavy buying of British stud sheep, of which a single consignment numbering 1650 was shipped to Russia a few days ago. This' is the largest shipment that has ever left England.
