WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton;— Light to fresh northerly winds, turning later to west or south-west. Weather cloudy to overcast, with mist or fog in many places. Fairly general rain probable, with some heavy falls. Seas, moderate to rather rough on the East Coast, slight to moderate on the West Coast. Pressure is still very uniform over the Australian and New Zealand area, being the lowest over the North Island, and high to the south-east and over the Western Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for moderate to strong northerlies, later backing to west or south-west. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts; scattered rain probable, with some heavy falls. Barometer little movement. Seas moderate to rather rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-north-east; sea, rough; weather, overcast and dull; visibility, fair; barometer, falling slowly.
