ARMISTICE BY ARABS.

Cessation of Hostilities in Palestine? BELIEVED IMMINENT. LONDON, October 7. The Jerusalem correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian" says it is reliably reported that the higher Arab committee will issue an armistice proclamation within 24 hours. This arises from the mediation of King Ibn Sa'ud, of Saudi Arabia, who approved the text of the proclamation yesterday. Yassin el Hashiiny,- Prime Minister of Iraq, suggested a modification, however, hence the slight delay. It is understood that the proclamation will appeal for an armistice only, after which the Arabs will await some indication of Britain's "good intention" for a final settlement.
