"PUBLIC ENEMY NO. 2."

Fugitive Rebel Killed in Palestine. CAMERONIANS IN FIGHT. (Received 1.30 p.m.) JERUSALEM, October 7. A fugitive rebel known as "Public Enemy No. 2," was killed in a fight between the Cameronians and a band of five armed Arabs, who fired on them in the vicinity of Bethelhem. The rebel, who was identified as Said Bey El Assi, came to Palestine from Transjordania to lead the southern rebels. He sought to emulate the exploits of Palestine's chief "mystery man," Fawzi Kawukji. The Cameronians also wounded and captured a prominent Arab, Abdul Khader El Husseini, relative of a member of the Arab Higher Committee.
