TEA MARKETS.

At the usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea held at Colombo on the' 6th inst., 1.350,0001b were placed under offer. Quality showed a falling off generally. At the sale there was a strong general demand, especially for medium and good brokens. Actual price alterations were as follow: — Commons and price broken orange Pekoes advanced %d per lb. plain 8.0.P.'5, first classic broken Pekoes and fine broken orange Pekoes all advanced %d per lb. At the sale of Indian tea held at Calcutta on the sth inst., the market was reported as slightly easier.
