McGRATH FOR N.Z. TOURNEY ? ASKED TO DEFEND TITLE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. . At a meeting-of the management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association it was decided to send an invitation to V. B. McGrath to compete in the New Zealand championship tournament at Timaru. ■-■ \-

McGrath is the present holder of the men's singles title. He is also to be asked whether he knows of any other leading Australian player who would make the trip. ... The secretary of the association has been asked to draft a report on the question of New Zealand entering for the Davis Cup. The report is to be considered at the next quarterly meeting of the council.
