ARATIATIA RAPIDS.
improvements to track. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) - ROTORUA,' this day. Improvements to the track leading from the end of the car road to Aratiatia Rapids to the river bank have recently, been completed by the Public Works Department on behalf of the Tourist Department. The main foot track, which previously was in rough condition, has been levelled and a number of large boulders which obstructed the way have either been removed altogether or have been cut into step formation, so that they can be more easily negotiated. In addition to this work several new tracks have been opened up leading to the banks of the river, and giving access jto several new vantage spots from which views of the rapids, which were previously not accessible, may be obtained.
