PIN IN THE HEART.

MOTOR ACCIDENT SEQUEL. BUDAPEST, i Operations on the lieart have ceased to surprise the lay public, but a peculiar case is reported from Galszecs, in Czechoslovakia. In 1932 a lady living in the town had a motor accident, in which her left arm was broken and a safety-pin forced into her side. The pin broke, leaving the point buried in the flesh; and owing to the dangerous position it was thought inadvisable to remove it. This summer, however, owing to continued pain' in the heart, the lady decided to risk an operation, and travelled to Debrecen. The point of the pin was successfully removed from the lower point of the heart-, where it had lain for four years.
