WOMEN'S DIVISION.

SOUTHERN WAITEMATA, Mangatangi.-—Tlie September meeting was held at the home of Mrs. W. Hamilton. Mrs. Jensen presided. The prize for the prettiest vase of spring flowers was won by Miss E. Chipman. During the month the branch held a dance for the purpose of raising funds. Pokeno. —Mrs. Dean presided over a good attendance. A demonstration in designing patterns and dressmaking was given by students of a college in Auckland. Competitions were: —Best bloom: Mrs. Williams. Cream puffs: Miss S. Dean 1, Mrs. C. Leatliam 2. ..Harrisville. —The meeting was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Mrs. Lowry presiding. The roll pall was a humorous story. Mrs. Hawke (Pukekawa) gave a demonstration on basketmaking. Good business was done at the exchange table. A competition for plain sponge was won by Mrs. E. Harker. Onewhero. —Mrs. A. Crawford presided. Members stood in silence as a mark of sympathy with two members who had suffered bereavement (Mrs. R. Crawford and Mrs. Tout). Mrs. R. Crawford gave a ten-minute talk on some of the beautiful places she had visited in Scotland. In a competition for six stalks of rhubarb Mrs. Dyer was first.
