OAMARU CLUB.

The annual birthday function of the Oamaru Club was a great success, the Fabian Club rooms being filled to capacity. A splendid musical programme was provided, whilst an excellent floor and good dance music added to the enjoyment. Bepresentatives were present from the Dunedin, Canterbury and West Coast associations. Those contributing to the programme were: Mesdames R. E. N. Matthews and E. Asher (musical duo), Mesdames Asher and, Simpson (duet), Mrs. Hobday (solo), Mr. J. F. Wells (elocution), Mr. Alan McElwain (humour). The Monte Carlo competition was won by Miss N. Smith and Mr. Hannon, and the spot waltz by Miss Munn and Mr. N. Grocott. The president, Mr. A. M. Rosie, welcomed thpse assembled", and expressed his pleasure at such a large gathering, which augured well for the future of the club.
