GIVEN A CHANCE.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Pleading guilty to the theft of a magneto lie attempted to sell, a young labourer, whose name was suppressed, appeared before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., at the Police Cpurt to-day. The police said it was accused's first appearance and he regretted the action. The magistrate observed that under the circumstances he would not convict but would adjourn the case for six months.
