TENNIS CLUB'S OPENING. On Saturday last many members and friends attended the official opening of the Woodhill Tennis Club ,which was performed by Mr. S. Phillips, president of tho Woodhill Club, and Mr. A. E. L. Dodd, president of the Kaipara Lawn Tennis Association. A ping pong ball was successfully served over the net with a racquet five feet long and three feet in diameter by Miss Jocelyn Phillips, daughter of the president. In the evening an opening dance was held by the Woodhill Club, when many dancers attended. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss N. Grant and Mr. L. Hoist. Among those present were: Mesdames D. Cooper, G. Pearson, Peacock, L. Walters, Grant R. Pengelly, Hoist, Roulston, Mount, S. Phillips, T. Phillipps, G.
