NAVAL WHALERS.

INTER-CLUB RACE. FIRST EVENT OF SEASON. A race to be sailed in naval whalers provided by the warships in harbour, •will take place on Saturday, October 24, being the first event of the 1030-37 racing season. The whalers will be manned by coxswains and a crew of four or five nominated by each of our local yacht clubs. The boats will be ready at Devonport at 2 p.m., for crews to take over. All details as to course, etc., will be decided later between the Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association and the Naval Sailing Club, which sponsors the race. This will be the third inter-club event.
