ADVICE ON DRESS. u N.Z. WOMAN'S WEEKLY." CONTEST CLOSING DATE. With this week's issue the "New Zea- • land Woman's Weekly" begins a new series of articles, "Dres3 Your Personality" in which famous fil'ii stars tell how to avoid errors and how to make the most of natural endowments. A special interview with one star will appear in each week's issu'e. Among the world famous people who will thus give readers the hei.efit of their advice are Kay Francis, Dolores Del Rio, Ann Harding, Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer and Grace Moore. In the film pages "'Romance Among the Stars," tells how their love affairs are progressing, the series, of articles oil "How a Film is Made," describes the work of the make-up girl, and "Three Hollywood Homes," whose subject is indicated by its title, will be found of real interest. "Pretenders to the Throne of Lng ; land" reveals some little known facts about queer people who still think that Edward VIII. is not our rightful king, and other articles deal with child psychology and "Child Prodigies." Homecraft pages are as usual well represented, and among the ' fiction pages there is an unusual type of short story by Biddy Worger, "The Crimson Sideboa rd>" The big Photographic Competition, for I which the first prize is a free trip to Sydney or £40 in cash, is closing at the end of r.his month, so any readers who have not yet sent in their snaps should lose no time in doing so. Full directions for the associated judging contest will be given in next week's issue. More "Personal Experiences," for which weekly cash prizes are given, will also be found in the current number.
