COMMERCE CHAMBERS.
THE EMPIRE CONGRESS. OFFICIAL OPENING TO-MORROW. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this clay. The fourteenth congress of the Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire will be officially opened in Wellington to-morrow by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Galway. All the delegates will be received by Lord and Lady Galway at Government House this evening. Members of the executive committee were entertained at luncheon at the Wellesley Club to-day, and at 4 o'clock the delegates and their wives are being received by members of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce at the St. George Hotel. There will be a State luncheon after the opening of the congress to-morrow. An afternoon sitting will be held and there will be receptions in the evening. Picnic trips have been arranged for Saturday and Sunday will be a free day. The conference will resume on Monday morning.
