FIRE STATION SITE.

| Watching the discussions concerning where to build the new fire station, as a resident of Auckland of over forty years, knowing every building and corner, I have wondered that" the most suitable place is overlooked the Ponsonby Reservoir and Newton corner. There is one acre of land lying idle. It has a commanding view all over the city and suburbs, four main road frontages, Ponsonby, and Karangahape Roads, Hopetown and Jersey Streets —outlets that give quick and easy access to any part of the city or suburbs, and is far superior to the Old Mill site.
