The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — ' Moderate south-westerly winds, veerin" at times to westerlies and freshenin 01 ; weather cool and changeable, with passing showers; seas moderate to rather rough and increasing on the west coast, slight to moderate on the east. A series of secondary depressions is crossing the South Tasman Sea and New Zealand. An anti-cyclone covers Australia, and extends on to the- North Tasman. . . For the Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for winds, moderate temporarily, and veering by south to west, later freshening; weather probably cool and changeable, with passing showers; barometer unsteady; seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind west-south-west, moderate to, fresh; sea moderate to fresh; weather fine but cloudy, with passing showers; j "risibility fair; barometer-rising. 1
