POLICE TEAMS MEtT
MATCH AT EDEN PARK. The first representative match between the Auckland and Wellington police teams was played at Eden Park this afternoon, the ground being on the holding side after rain over-niglit. The selected teams were:— Wellington (black and white) .—Fullback, Pointon; three-quarters, Wakelin, Eden, McJannet; five-eighths, Best and Harris; half-back, Hawke; forwards, Hull, Palmer, Waple, Barry, Wilson, Miles, Fell, Cleverley. Emergency: Arnst. Auckland (blue and white). —Full-back, Elliot; three-quarters, Hotham, Saunders, Duncan; five-eighths, Stewart, Lane (captain); half-back, forwards, Downie, Galloway, Miller, Kelk, Irvine, Harris, Lilley, Fowler. Emergencies: Rogers (back), Pollock (forward). The curtain-raiser match rvas between Auckland Commercial Travellers and Auckland Theatre Managers. The funds are to go to aid the crippled children.
SOUTH AUCKLAND. TEAM TO PLAY THAMES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, this day. The following players have been chosen by the selector, Mr. N. M.
