NEW DALAI LAMA.

After two years' sean.ii by monks and soothsayers the new infant Dalai Lama, has been recognised. He will be publicly, presented to the' populace when the Tashi Lama has reached Lhasa. The last Dalai Lama died in December, 1933. Tibetans believe his spirit passes to the body of a child born at the exact moment of his death. The Holy one is identified by marks on the body and ability to handle instinctively the belongings of his predecessor. The Tashi Lama, second to the Dalai Lama in the lieirarchy, has been exiled to China since 1925 and is now returning. The whereabouts of the Dalai Lama are kept secret pending the presentation.
