KING EDWARD STAMPS.
British Post Offices Rtashed For New Issue. AS MIDNIGHT CHIMED. LONDON", September 1. Crowds of people stormed post offices last night. for the new King Edward stamps. They were issued as midnight chimed. The first purchasers at the Fleet Street post office, where the queue started at 10 p.m., were three French girls, who immediately attached the stamps to postcards, which they posted to themselves. Many people, including collectors, purchased whole sheets. Buying continued until the early hours of this morning. The new stamps will be available until September 5, when the sale of King George stamps will be continued until the stock is exhausted.
