Mr. Jordan Formally Takes Over In London. WREATH LAID ON CENOTAPH. (Received 0.30 a.m.) LONDON, September i. The first act of Mr. W. J. Jordan, on officially assuming the position of High Commissioner to-day, was to lay a wreath 011 the Cenotaph 011 behalf of the Parliament and people of New Zealand. The staff of New Zealand House last night farewelled Sir James Parr and welcomed Mr. Jordan, who conveyed greetings from the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, Prime Minister.
