WINNERS AT, ASHBURTON. (By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. The principal events at the Ashburton competitions resulted: — Tucker Trophy, for Piano Solo (own selection) Sight-reading Test. — Mies Audrey Ruddock (Ashburton). 266 points, 1; Peter Cooper (Christchurch), 263 points, 2; Miss Joan Owens (Christchurch), 231 points, 3. Sean Triubhais, Provincial Championship.—Miss Billie Addis, 91 points, 1; Miss Maisie Wilson (Christchurch) and Miss Hazel Xeill (Christchurch), 90 points, equal, 2. Miss Addis also won the Highland reel South Island championship with 87 points, Mies Orma Ford, o£ Timaru (86 points), being second.
