JUNIOR MANAGEMENT.
At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, it was stated that,' as the senior championship was finalised, the senior board would no doubt be giving consideration to four applications for special fixtures on suburban grounds. The i'onsonby third grade team was granted permission to travel to Whangarci to play Northland juniors 011 Saturday. Messrs. J. Armstrong and I. Ireland were nominated as managers for the club. Green Lane senior B having played an ineligible player, the match was awarded to Point Chevalier. Green Lane and Point Chevalier are to meet for the senior B knock-out honours. The jjrade teams are eligible to participate for tlie Stallard Cup between the senior reserve and senior B tliirteens. It is expected Papakura will nominate for the senior Roope Rooster competition. The second grade Richmond v. Mount Albert match on Saturday will decide the runners-up in the championship won by R.V. with eight successes in nine contests and 16 ladder points. If Mount Albert wins, a play-off with Glenora will be necessary. R.V. thirds were granted permission to play City juniors from Whangarei on September 12, subject to a ground being available. The Ellerslie, Mount Albert and Papakura delegates reported that trips were contemplated for their various grade 1 teams by arrangement.
ENGLISH COMPETITION. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 1. At Rugby League Rochdale Hornets defeated Feat here tone by 15 points to 8.
