BOWLING.

new centre. AIOKRIN"SVIL/LE PROPOSAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MORKIXSVILLE, Tuesday. The suggestion that a new bowling centre would shortly be necessary in Thames Vnllev was made at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Bowling Club last evening. In introducing the question, -Mr. A. U. Yardley, one of the club's retiring delegates to the Soutli Auckland Centre, said it was apparent that the latter body was becoming unwieldy. The phenomenal increase in the number of clubs had meant that dissatisfaction had crept in regarding tournaments. This, in his opinion, could only be overcome by a division of the South Auckland Centre's -territory. The speaker suggested that a Thames Valley centre should be formed, with headquarters at Te Aroha Paeroa, to take in Tliaitffes, Hikutaia, Paeroa, Waikino, Wailii, Te Arolia, Morrinsville, Walton, T« Pol, Matamata and Hinuera clubs. The community of interest among those clubs was such that they would comprise a successful centre. Mr. W. Hetherington said a similar suggestion had been discussed at the last annual meeting of the Goldfields Association, but nothing had been decided. No resolution was put to the meeting, but members were aske<l to keep the matter In mind for possible futurp action.
