Duncan, who has left for Sydney, as the collector for the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society. Dr. A. A. Tennent, ons of the New Zealand delegates to the Pan-Pacific Surgical Association Congress at Honolulu last month, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. Colin Mason, the Ohinamuri County Council's representative oil the Thames Valley Power Board, has resigned the position. His successor will be appointed by the council. ilr. C. E. Buchanan, formerly chief steward of the Union Company's liner Monowai, arrived by the Marama from Sydney yesterday on his way to Wellington to join the intercolonial steamer Awatea. Vice-Admiral Geoffrey Blake, formerly in command of the Xew Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, who has succeeded Vice-Admiral S. A. Bailey in command of the battle-cruiser squadron, hoisted his flag in the Admiralty yacht Enchantress last month. He 'transferred it later to the Hood, the battle-cruiser flagship. The Rev. M. G. Sullivan, M.A., who has been vicar of St. Columba Church, Grey Lynn, for a little over two years, has accepted an appointment as vicar of St. John's Church, Te Awamutu. His resignation from his present church takes effect as from November 30. Mr. Sullivan took his degree at Auckland University College, where he was presi--1 dent of the Students' Association. ~ '
