CHILD CYCLISTS.

NUMBERS AT SCHOGLS. PROVISION OF SHELTERS. Figures submitted by the executive committee to to-dav's meeting of the Auckland Education Board showed that "330 pupils of schools in the board's district rode bicycles to school. Of these 3603 lived more than a mile from their schools. On the question of providing bicycle shelters at the schools, the chairman, Mr. T. U. Wells, said that tlie cost of such provision was estimated to amount to 15/ or IS/ for each machine, and he did not think the board could undertake such an expenditure. On his motion the board approved the provision of shelters at each school sufficient to accommodate the number of machines ridden by children living a mile or more distant.
