The "Sunday Dispatch" cricket writer says that it does not seem that the selectors are ever influenced by figures. They have chosen Wyatt to replace Holmes in the M.C.C. team. The Corporation of Glasgow, which has a Labour majority, for the first time permitted Sunday golf 011 five out of their nine municipal courses. One young Scot took up his position at one of the courses at 10 o'clock on Saturday night under a huge umbrella, a local sportsman having promised a new golf club to the players driving off the first balls.
