RUSSIA BUILDING 5000 'PLANES A YEAR.
AIR SUPREMACY. French Expert Impressed By Visit. DAY AND NIGHT ACTIVITY. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) PARIS, August 30. The air pioneer, M. Breguet, speaking on behalf of the Government aeronautic mission, which has returned from Moscow, after inspection of the Soviet air industry, says that 5000 'planes are being built annually in Russia, where 200,000 specialists are working day and night to ensure aerial supremacy for Russia. The Soviet, with ten times the number of France's workers, is constructing 20 times more aeroplanes. One factory, with 25,000 workers, produces daily four bi-inotor bombers. The Nijni-Xovgorod plant builds five pursuit 'planes dally. Machines of 24 tons with four motors are being built in series. STRENGTH THE SAME. RECRUITING IN RUSSIA. (Received 1.30 p.m.) MOSCOW, August 30. The Press declares that despite the lowering of the recruit's age to 19 the army remains at the previous strength of 1,300,000.
