SOLID LOYALTY.

Haile Silassie Anxious to Return to Gore. BRITISH MANDATE PROPOSAL. LONDON, August 30. The "Daily Herald" states that Haile Silassie is prepared to return alone to his new capital in Gore to join the loyal Gallis and Amliaris chiefs in fighting to the end, if the League of Nations will arrange a mandate —preferably British, Swiss or Swedish—over Western Abyssinia. This decision follows a series of hazardous investigatory flights made by Captain Brophil, who evaded Italian air patrols and landed in Gore, where he •found the chiefs solid in their loyalty to their Emperor.
