SHIPPING NEWS.

NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. PORT HOBART DUE. MARAMA IN" THE MORNING.

The Eoyal Mail steamer Niagara, 13,415 tons, arrived from Vancouver, via Honolulu and Suva, at 11.20 this morning, berthing at 11.45 a.m. at the Princes wharf. In addition to a large English and American mail, .she landed 100 passengers here and has a large number booked through. She will sail at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney, .when 100 passengers join her. The motor ship Port Hobart, 7448 tons, radioed at noon to-day that she expects to arrive off Tiritiri at midnight. She will anchor in the stream about 1.30 a.m. and berths at the Queen's wharf in the morning. She is from Glasgow and Liverpool, which port she left on July 20, coming via Panama. She also discharges at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Union Company's passenger steamer Marama, 0497 tons, will arrive from Sydney about 7 a.m. tomorrow. She leaves for Wellington at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and leaves that port on Friday on her return to Sydney.

Cambridge arrived from Opua early on Sunday morning to continue her loading for London. (N.Z.S. Co.) Limerick arrived from Pacific Coast ports at 7 a.m. yesterday and berthed at the Prince's wharf. She leaves at noon to-morrow for the South. (U.S.S. Co.) Kaimiro arrived late on Saturday night from Melbourne and Adelaide. She leaves to-morrow evening for the South via Portland. (U.S.S. Co.) Kaikorai arrived at 7 a.m. to-day from Sydney and sails oil Thursday on her return to Newcastle. (U.S.S. Co.) Karepo has been bar bound at Greymouth and eannot leave before Wednesday for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) Waipiata has been delayed by rain at Picton and leaves at noon to-day for Auckland direct. (U.S.S. Co.) Poolta has been delayed at Westport. Canopus has been waiting for the last eight days to get out of Westport for Auckland, owing to the fresh in the river. (W.C. Co.) Port Hunter arrived from Gisborne yesterday afternoon for final loading for London. She is expected to sail on Friday evening, via Panama. (F. Co-op.) H.M.S. Achilles will arrive from the Mediterranean at 10.30 a.m. next Sunday. (Naval Dept.) Golden Bear will arrive late to-night from the Pacific Coast and berths at the Central wharf in the morning.
