KAUKAPAKAPA. A large number of members and friends were present at the monthly meeting. The president, Mrs. R. Osbaldiston, welcomed visitors from the newly-formed branch at Wainui, and the president and secretary from Makarau branch were also present. Mrs. Watson, Wellsford, gave a cake iceing demonstration, and made a wonderful display of marzipan fruit, flowers and leaves. The hostesses were Mrs. Gallagher and Mrs. Hildreth. CLEVEDON. The annual "At Home" was held recently in Clevedon Hall. There was a large gathering of members and. friends, and numerous other branches of the women's division of the Farmers' Union were represented. Mrs. Noel Adams welcomed the guests in a brief address. On arrival, each person was given a duplicate number, and was expected to find the visitor who was wearing the same number. This caused much amusement, and was the means of making the gathering very sociable. Songs were rendered by Miss Nancye Hanna, Auckland, and a one-act play, "Runaway Wives," was produced by Mesdames H. Driver, Bull, Moncur and N. J. Sutherland. Community singrng was led by Mrs. Stephens, with Mrs. McPherson at the piano. MAN GAT AWHIRI. The resignation of the president, Mrs. T. Wilson, who has left the district, was received with regret. She was presented with a handbag from her fellow members. Mrs. F. A. Jensen was elected president. A humorous sketch was rendered by Misses E. and D. Chipman, N. Shuker and J. Syvereton. PUKEKAWA.

Mrs. O. 01. Brewstor presided, and Mrs. K. D. Orr gave a talk on "Home Nursing." It was decided to hold a sale of Blind Institute goods at the birthday meeting next month. The competition for the best bloom was won by Mrs. Aldridge, with Mrs. Aldridge, Miss Long and Mrs. K. D. Orr equal, second. Other events: Vase of spring blooms, Mrs. Aldridge 1, Mesdames Elwyn and K. D. Orr 2; jar of marmalade, Mrs. Whitehead 1, Mrs. K. D. Orr 2. POKENO. Members met in Pokeno Valley Hall, and a gift was forwarded from members to Mrs. J. Pendergrast on the occasion of her golden wedding. The competition for beet bloom was won by Mrs. Guinmer.
