WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. - The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon • the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and P Hamilton: — Strong northerly winds reaching gale i force in some exposed positions, backing shortly to west and sontli-west. Weather unsettled with rain at times in most $ places. Temperatures becoming cold. , Seas rough to high on the west coast, rough on the east coast. 5 An extensive cyclonic depression is - centred near Westport. Pressure lias risen over eastern Australia. For the Dominion. For the 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for strong to gale northerly winds, after about 10 hours backing by west to south; still the weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain probable and cold shortly. Barometer rising; seas rough. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. p The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, north, strong; sea rough; weather overcast, with misty rain; visibility poor; barometer falling. 3 ______=
