VALUELESS CHEQUE TRAIL LABOURER FOR SENTENCE. A labourer, Alfred Hinton, aged 01, appeared in the Police Court, before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., yesterday, 011 10 charges of obtaining service car tickets, goods and, money of a total value of £4!) 3/ by means of valueless cheques, and another of stealing a cheque book valued at 3/4.

On one charge of false pretences committed at Napier, Hinton was remanded to appear, there; while on the summary charge of theft, lie was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. On all the other indictable charges he pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
