FEDERAL LABOUR PARTY.
ELECTION OF PRESIDENT. ADELAIDE, August 3. Mr. Norman J. O. Makin was elected president of the Federal Labour party at the conference held here this week. Representing Hindmarsh, South Australia, at Canberra, he was Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1929-31. Mr. J. Curtin will continue as Federal Labour Parliamentary leader.
