HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.

ONEHUNGA BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Onehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary was held yesterday afternoon in the Borough Council chambers. There was a large attendance of members and supporters, including Mrs. H. Kirkham (the Onehunga branch president), Mrs. J. Park (Mayoress) and Miss' Bluett (matroil of the infirmary). Mrs. A. E. Kidd, who presided, congratulated members on their untiring efforts on behalf of the inmates of the Epsom Infirmary. The annual report submitted by the secretary, Mrs. H. S. Patterson, paid a tribute to the constant work undertaken by the various committees and the general spirit of willingness and goodwill among members, which had largely accounted for the results achieved. The activities of the entertainment, visiting, library, sewing and preserves committees had been enthusiastically carried out at the infirmary and during the warm months the transport committee had organised a number of drives for patients. During the year Mrs. T. J. Neil, convener of ex-hospital patients, had assisted a number of patients with warm clothing and extra nourishment. Appreciation was recorded of the good services rendered by many musical friends in entertaining the inmates and also of the owners of private cars who had so generously provided transport for artists.

The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patroness, Mrs. J. Park (Mayoress); president, Mrs. W. Kirkham; vice-presidents, Mrs. Fieldsend and Mrs. Wathew; secretary, Mrs. H. S.
