CROQUET CLUBS.
NORTH SHORE. The members of the North Shore Croquet Club held their annual meeting and election of officers in the pavilion yesterday. The retiring president, Mrs. M. Erickson, presided. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs. T. M. Macdonald; vice-presidents, Mrs. M. Erickson, Mrs. F. Mason and Mrs. F. W. Beck; honorary secretary, Mrs. E. Cooper; honorary treasurer, Mrs. F. P. Flinn; general committee, Mrs. W. Cotes, Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. A. Bartley, Mrs. Watson and Mrs. V. Brooks; match committee, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. W. Cotes, Mrs. J. Gray; tea committee, Mrs. M.' Smart, Mrs. R. Howard, Mrs. F. Mason; delegates to association, Mrs. T. M. Macdonald and Mrs. F. P. Flinn; ground superintendent. Mr. F. W. Warren. ONEHUNGA. An enjoyable afternoon was spent by the friends and members of the Onehunga Croquet Club in the club's pavilion recently, the time being spent playing bridge and 500. The president. Mrs. L. Bray, presented prizes for bridge to Mrs. Peak and Mrs. Davenport, and for 500 to Miss A. J. Washer. Present were: Mrs. L. Bray (president), Mesdames E. Ball, Bewes, E. Bold, H. J. 'Bray, G. Bray, M. Brown, Buckle, A. Burgess, A. Burgin, Chilman, T. P. Cole, J. Cowell, Craig, Davenport, Dukes, Furnell, J. Gill. A. Hickman, A. Kenny, J. Kirkwood, I. Parkinson, J. Parr. Misses Davy, A. J. Washer, C. Washer. PAPATOETOE, A successful card afternoon was held by the Papatoetoe croquet ladies on Saturday in the club's pavilion. Mrs. W. McNeely, the hostess for the afternoon, received the guests. Mangere East, Manurewa and Otaliuliu croquet clubs were well represented and enjoyable games of bridge and 500 were arranged. Prizes wfere presented by the president, Mrs. R. Parker-Hill, the successful players being Miss B. Timms (highest bridge score). Mrs. W. J. -Nicholson (hidden number), Mrs. S.' McCullough (consola tion), Mr. Witham (highest 500 score). Mrs. Witham (hidden number) and Mrs. J. Woolley (consolation). The ladies present included: Dr. Gladys Rowley. Mesdames W. J. Nicholson. W.
