CRASH OVER BANK.
SHAREMILKER KILLED. HAMILTON FATALITY. (By Telegrnpli.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Having crashed over a 20ft bank at the corner of the Ilamilton-Alorrinsville highway and the Matnngi Koad, a Mr. H. K. Smith, aged 40, a sharemilker, of llatangi, was found dead under a live rieater car this morning. It i* not known whcn x the accident occurred. An early passer-by noticed the car over a bank and notified the police. The driver was pinned beneath with shocking head injuries. and apparently was killed inritantly. The only means of identifying 11im was by the name on the driver's license. The scene of the accident is about seven miles from Hamilton. .Mr. Smith was a married man with three young children. The car somersaulted several times, and was badly wrecked. Mr. Smith had been sharemilking for Mr. J. .ludd. of Matangi. for many years and secured a new position at Morrinsville yesterday. An inquest was opened and adjourned.
