FLYING TO RUGBY.
MARLBOROUGH PLAYERS. AX EXCURSION OVER COOK STIiAIT (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. It lias been deiinitcly arranged that the Marlborough Rugby representatives will travel by air, both ways, to fulfil the engagement against Wellington on September ii<>. Besides being unique in Dominion Ktigby history, the decision indicates the way that Marlburiaus have accepted the air services as ordinary means of travel. It is estimated that a saving of £30 will be effected, comparer 1 with steamer fares and hotel expenses; while, in addition, players will be away only half a day from work. The total cost or aeroplanes, board and incidentals are estimated at £89, but it is h.iped to organise an air excursion to provide back loading for the 'pianos, thereby reducing the cost to the union by EDO. The total cost by boat would be J-95, with four and a half days' absence from Blenheim. Atari thorough is nominating Jack Best, All Black forward, and Alex Robinson, five-eighth, for the Sou-.h Island team. Best, however, is now residing at Hamilton.
