CITY MILK SUPPLY.
METHODS UNSATISFACTORY. INVESTIGATION PROPOSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. A statement that the methods under which the supply of milk is controlled in other cities are to be investigated by a committee of the Dunedin City Council was made at a meeting of the council to-night. A special committee reported that the present methods of distribution and testing at Dunedin were unsatisfactory and the testing unreliable. After full discussion, added the report, the committee had decided to consider other means of distributing and controlling the supply, and to make full inquiries from Auckland, Wellington and Svdney as to methods, cost and the accessary legislation, so that the matter could be fully investigated.
