lii the Police Court at Otahuliu yesterday, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., dealt with the usual list of traffic offences. TC. J. Hogan was charged with failing to give way to traffic on the right. Defendant, who had failed to give way to a motor cycle at the corner of Atkinson Avenue and caused a collision, was lined £2, plus costs 12/. Phillip Miller was fined £2, plus £1 3/ costs, for failing to give way to right-hand traffic at the corner of Great South Road and St. George's Road. In the case of Police v. Whittock, in which he had reserved judgment at the previous sitting of the Court, the magistrate stated that a man in charge of a lorry must exercise great care. He found defendant guilty of dangerous driving and ordered him to pay costs totalling £9 4/.
