OTAGO'S SHIELD FIFTEEN. (By Telegraph.-—Special, to "Star.") DUNE DIN, this day. The Otago team to play its first Ranfurly Shield match against Southland, on August 1, is now practically decided upon, the only uncertainty being whether Taylor or McSkimming will be played at fullback. The other places will be filled as follows, bar injuries between now and the big day: — Three-quarters: Black, Smith, Watt. Five-eighths: Trevathan, Gillies. Half-back: Simon. Forwards: McDonald, Laney, Quaid, Parkliill, Vorr'ath, Green, Niven, Hore. If successful against Southland, the present holders, will be challenged by Auckland four days later.

SUBURBS THIRD GRADE XV.

Owing to Eden having defaulted, the members of the third intermediate grade team of the Suburbs Rugby Football Club are requested to attend at the Stadium at 3 p.m. to-morrow.
