WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to tlie "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far' south as Tauranga-, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Light to moderate northerly winds, later backing to southerlies. Weather cloudy to overcast, with intermittent rain, but later improving. Seas slight to moderate. A slight depression is located west of the North Island, but pressure is still high over the Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand. For the Dominion. The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, moderate northerlies prevailing, later backing by west to south. Weather cloudy to overcast; intermittent rain probable, but later improving. The barometer lias a rising tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-.day: Wind, east, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine but cloudy, with banks of fog; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
